VR support

Issues unresolved

Cutscene audio partially muted after pausing

Pausing during a cutscene mutes some sound effects for the rest of that scene and the voice for the rest of that spoken line.
Cutscenes can be replayed from the menu at any time to hear what was missed.

Issues fixed

Game runs in slow motion

The "locked" frame rate cap options slow the game down if the chosen frame rate cannot be maintained
Change FPS max setting[citation needed]
  1. Go into settings.
  2. Change FPS max to 30 or 60.
  3. Choose Confirm to apply the change.

"This application has failed to start because xinput1_3.dll was not found" error on launch

Install DirectX[citation needed]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\
  2. Run DXSETUP.exe and follow the steps.

Crash when changing settings in Console Mode on Alienware Alpha

Use Desktop Mode[4]
  1. Switch to Desktop Mode.
  2. Launch the game from Steam or a shortcut.
  3. Change the settings as needed.
  4. Continue playing or return to Console Mode (the new settings will carry over to Console Mode).

Flickering graphics on CrossFire setups

Use AFR Friendly mode[5]
  1. Open the Catalyst Control Center.
  2. Make or edit the Oceanhorn profile.
  3. Go to AMD CrossFireX Mode for 3D Applications.
  4. Choose AFR Friendly.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/339200/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (339200) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
