The official No One Lives Forever website has been shut down so you have to download the patches from a 3rd party. The fansite UnityHQ still host all the files needed to play online.

  2. Backup file quartz.dll from Windows\System32 (and also Windows\SysWOW64 in 64bit systems)
  3. Right clic on the original quartz.dll on System32 file, properties
  4. In security tab, clic on Advanced Options
  5. Clic on Audit, then Continue
  6. Where it says Owner, clic on Change
  7. Type "Everyone", then clic Ok
  8. Clic Ok
  9. Clic Edit
  10. Clic Users
  11. Clic Total Control, Allow checkbox, then Ok, Ok again
  12. On System32 folder, paste downloaded quartz.dll inside compressed archive. Confirm file replacement.
  13. On 64 bit systems, repeat steps 3 to 12 for the same file on SysWOW64
  14. Restart Windows

Too high mouse sensivity

The ingame mouse sensivity is too high.

  2. Activate VSync in ingame-options.
