Windowed

Switch to windowed mode by editing config file[1]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Open the config.ini file with Notepad or other text editor.
  3. Change fullscreen=1 to fullscreen=0.
  4. Save the file.
  5. Launch the game.

Notes

Hard to set proper aspect ratio in windowed mode. The game renders picture according to video mode selected in-game, including vertical black bars due to pillarboxing for wide resolutions, and then stretches it to window's size. Window is resizeable, but it's not enforced in any way to be pixel-perfect or have proper aspect ratio.

High frame rate

Increasing maximum frame rate by editing config file[2]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Open the config.ini file with Notepad or other text editor.
  3. Change FPS_CAP to the desired value.
  4. Save the file.
  5. Launch the game.

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/11370/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (11370) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
