  1. Download Widescreen fix by nemesis2000.
  2. Extract sr2.7z files to the installation folder (password=sr2).
  3. Run upx.bat for GOG.com version of the game.
  4. Edit sr2.ini to set the resolution.

Use DxWnd[citation needed]

Use the following configuration in DxWnd:

  • Set the DirectX Version Hook setting to DirectX8. It can be found under the DirectX tab.
  • Set the Frames per Second setting to limit and 1 msec. The setting can be found under the Timing tab.
