Key points

Various players report crashing during gameplay and poor performance in general.

The game requires a constant internet connection for some features to work properly (Elusive targets, Contracts mode and Challenge progression).

Story mode is available offline, as well as any item unlocked via challenges/ story progression acquired online can be used offline. A late November 2016 patch made unlockables sync to the offline profile and online profile simultaneously.

All players receive the Hitman 2016 soundtrack and the "Making of" documentary, regardless of purchase history.

Issues fixed

Flickering with AMD Crossfire

Game flickers when run on multiple AMD GPUs in Crossfire.

Change the resolution and then change back to the original resolution

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Fullscreen mode defaults to 60 Hz, even if the screen refresh rate is set higher than that.

Set screen refresh rate

Go to the configuration file(s) location. Double-click on the Refreshrate entry. Select Decimal and change the value to your screen refresh rate. Notes On Windows, there used to be a GFXSettings.HITMAN.xml file that had graphics settings, but the game has since been updated. As a result, the file was removed and the settings were moved to the Registry. On Linux, the XML file exists but is set up in the same coding language as a Registry entry.

The Open Source MESA Drivers (RadeonSI and AMDGPU) are also fully supported, so long as the version is 13.03 or newer, however MESA 17 has known graphical issues. Intel Graphics are not supported on release.
