Run install.exe.[6]
  1. Locate the installation directory. By default, the GOG.com version installs to C:\GOG Games\Dragonsphere on Windows.
  2. Open dosboxDragonsphere_single.conf in a text editor, such as Notepad.
  3. Comment out CALL DRAGON.BAT by typing a # in front of it, so that it looks like this: #CALL DRAGON.BAT
  4. After cd DRAGON but before exit, add a new line that says INSTALL.EXE
  5. Save and close the file, then launch the game from one of the provided shortcuts.
  6. The installer should appear. Select Reconfigure Hardware Options, then select the following options:
    • CD Drive Letter: D
    • Music and Sound Effects Device: Whichever you are trying to set up.
    • Music Card Address: Address 330
    • Music Card IRQ: IRQ 2
    • Digitized Speech Device: SoundBlaster 16 or Pro
    • Speech Address: Address 220
    • Speech IRQ: IRQ 7
    • Speech DRQ: DRQ 1
    • Game Play Options: Personal Preference
  7. Close the window, then reopen the dosboxDragonsphere_single.conf and uncomment #CALL DRAGON.BAT and comment out INSTALL.EXE.
  8. Save the file.
