Issues fixed

Broken 3D Acceleration

3D Acceleration is broken on modern operating systems, causing severe graphical corruption.
Use dgVoodoo 2 and fixed hw_d3d.dll
  1. Download DgVoodoo2 from the official website.
  2. Download fixed hw_d3d.dll.
  3. Replace the default hw_d3d.dll with the fixed one.
  4. Extract the contents of dgvoodoo to the folder of your choice.
  5. Copy the contents of MS folder into your Delta Force 2 directory
  6. Open dgVoodooCpl.exe and click the DirectX tab.
  7. Under Videocard select dgvoodoo Virtual 3D Accelerated Card from the drop-down menu.

Notes

Some voxels will still have incorrect depth.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/32630/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (32630) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
