High frame rate

Disable Vsync in graphics card control panel to unlock frame rate.
  • For nVidia users, make Vsync is off and Preferred Refresh Rate is set to Highest Available.
  • For AMD users, Vsync setting must be set to Enhanced Sync or Off.
Unlock frame rate workaround for 60Hz monitors
  1. Go to Game properties in Steam
  2. In the launch options, add the commandline -perf or -perf4k if you're playing at 4K
  3. Launch the game, it should run with no framerate cap.

Notes

Don't open the settings menu, or your frame rate will fall to 60 again.
Only works in Exclusive Fullscreen mode, causing tearing while playing

Disable fur

Can increase the performance a lot.
Disable fur via Helix Mod[3]
  1. Download Crash Trilogy 3D Vision fix.
  2. Copy the files to the installation folder and press F6 to disable any fur.

Notes

Change the value of Fur in d3dx.ini to 1 to let the mod disable it automatically at startup.
