Issues fixed

Can't connect to Uplay server

Can't connect to Uplay server[5]
  1. Go to %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
  2. Open hosts in Notepad as Administrator
  3. Add the following lines:
208.111.149.181 static3.cdn.ubi.com
69.28.187.16 static11.cdn.ubi.com

Autopatcher refuses to patch

Autopatcher refuses to patch[citation needed]
Tested on Impulse Driven.
  1. Reinstall the game outside Program Files.
  2. Run the autopatcher again.

Game crashes on startup

Game crashes on startup[citation needed]

The game seems to hate overlays. Steam and Uplay don't cause issues, but a lot of other software, such as third-party screenshot makers, antialiasing utilities like MacType, cause crashes on startup. Disable or close them beforehand.

Can't click on anything in the main menu

Can't click on anything in the main menu[citation needed]

This issue comes from using the program Actual Multiple Monitors for multi monitor setups. This can either by fixed by simply closing the program or setting the Anno2070.exe as an exclusion in the Window Settings Tab of Actual Multiple Monitors.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/48240/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (48240) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
