  3. Under [Splash], change the value of Image= to false.

Problem launching the game

Disable visual themes[2]
  1. Right-click the shortcut of the game
  2. Click on Properties and show Compatibility
  3. Enable "Disable visual themes" and apply
Reduce hardware acceleration (Windows XP)[citation needed]
If you experience slowdowns when playing videos, please reduce the audio hardware acceleration level:
  1. Press Win+R, type dxdiag and press Enter.
  2. In the "Sound" tab, lower the acceleration to Standard.
  3. Exit and restart your game.
Add the game to the DEP exclusion list[citation needed]
  1. Right-click on My Computer and choose Properties.
  2. Choose Advanced system settings, then click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the first Settings... button.
  4. In the Data Execution Prevention tab, choose the "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" option and add the game executable below.
  5. Apply all changes and start the game again.

Frozen cutscenes (Windows 7)

Run the game as admin first[3]
  1. Right-click shortcut -> Properties
  2. Under "Compatibility", set to "Windows XP" or "Windows 95".
