High frame rate

Change MaxSmoothedFrameRate[citation needed]
  1. Go to configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open the AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini file with Notepad or other text editor.
  3. Using the Find function (Ctrl+F), search for MaxSmoothedFrameRate. There will be exactly one entry.
  4. Change its value to desired frame rate, eg. MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120.
  5. Save the file and launch the game.
Disable SmoothedFrameRate[citation needed]
  1. Go to configuration file(s) location
  2. Open the AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini file with Notepad or other text editor.
  3. Using the Find function (Ctrl+F), search for bSmoothedFrameRate. There will be exactly one entry.
  4. Change it to bSmoothedFrameRate=False.
  5. Save the file and launch the game.

  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini.
  3. Look for [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice] class
  4. Make sure DeviceName= has nothing assigned
  5. Increase MaxChannels= to the number of supported ones of your audio device (maximum is 128)
  6. Set UseEffectsProcessing=True
  7. Save you changes.
