Nexuiz runs on the engine DarkPlaces, a heavily modified Quake 3 engine. Reports are that the launch has been buggy, and that there are many issues with matchmaking and other gameplay bugs.^[1]

Map Vote Timeout

When players view the map vote screen, some may time out. This can be fixed by deleting this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\nexuiz beta\USER

Unresolved Issues

Windows 8

Users have reported issues with launching the game on Windows 8 RC.^[2]

Alt Fire Crylink Sound Loop

Issue involving alternative fire using the crylink weapon causing an infinite loop.^[3]

Mouse Sensitivity Not Low Enough

Users have reported that mouse sensitivity slider is not able to be lowered very far.^[4]
