- It's possible to connect gamepad to smartphone without GameSir application installed. It requires turning on gamepad with 🔋 ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ+4 buttons pressed. Then user can set one of three available modes (double press ᴍᴏᴅᴇ or 🔋 ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ+ᴍᴏᴅᴇ combo). Mode 2 (indicator: ▰▱▰▱ for Bluetooth or ▱▰▰▱ for USB connection)
- Automatically remapping L4 as 𝐀, R4 as 𝐁, L5 as 𝐗, R5 as 𝗬.
- Do not require to press one of four face buttons to activate trackpad.
- Trackpad works as RS. 🢄 ᴍᴏᴜsᴇ button is activating Mouse mode where trackpad controls mouse cursor.
- Mode is disabling touchpad buttons A, B, X, Y.
- Mode is not allowing to press two additional buttons at once. These buttons are affected: L4, R4, L5, R5.
Mode 3 (indicator: ▱▱▰▰ for USB connection)
- Treats controller as Xbox 360 Controller. Works only via USB connection.
- Trackpad works as RS. 🢄 ᴍᴏᴜsᴇ button is activating Mouse mode where trackpad controls mouse cursor.
- Majority of buttons is disabled. Disabled buttons: A, B, X, Y, A+, X+, Y+, B+, 1, 2, 3, 4, sᴛᴀʀᴛ, sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛ, ᴛᴜʀʙᴏ, 🢄 ᴍᴏᴜsᴇ, L3, R3, L4, R4.
Windows
- Connecting the controller should automatically download and install latest drivers for the controller.
- Gamepad Phoenix allows to remap properly gamepad and works in every controller mode.
- Applications Steam Link and Moonlight allows to map touch buttons to physical buttons. Controller does not have analog triggers or pressure sensitive buttons, so this method is able to emulate every physical button properly.
- Parsec application allows to play only in controller's Mode 1, Mode 2 or Mode 3.

How can I upgrade the firmware of GameSir G5
- After you download the GameSir application, please turn on Bluetooth of your phone, power on the G5 controller, open the GameSir App, search the controller and update the firmware.
Not possible to turn on/off
- Turn on: Long press ʜᴏᴍᴇ button for 2 seconds to turn on the gamepad.
- Turn off: Long press ʜᴏᴍᴇ button for 2 seconds to turn off the gamepad.
How works low battery indicator and why gamepad is turning off automatically
- When usable power is lower than 10%, ʜᴏᴍᴇ button turns red and flashes slowly.
- When usable power is lower than 5%, the gamepad will turn off automatically
- ʜᴏᴍᴇ button flashes slowly in green when charging. ʜᴏᴍᴇ button keeps in solid green when fully charged.
- When the gamepad is on, it will turn off automatically when there is no connection for 2 minutes.
- When the gamepad is connected, it will turn off automatically when there is no operation for 5 minutes.
Not possible to check the power
- Quick press 🔋 ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ button to see indicator lights showing remain power. They recover to the original status after showing power for 3 seconds continuously. Indicator lights instruction:
- ▰▰▰▰ - 75%-100% power
- ▰▰▰▱ - 50%-75% power
- ▰▰▱▱ - 25%-50% power
- ▰▱▱▱ - 1%-25% power
Firmware upgrade progress stuck at 0 percent
- Please try to upgrade the firmware manually, but also reset the GameSir G5 before upgrading.
How to connect wireless keyboard and mouse
- The USB port of G5 left handle is used for wireless keyboard and mouse combo. Your wireless keyboard and mouse combo has its own USB dongle. You need to use the wireless keyboard and mouse combo which share the same USB dongle.
