Template:Infobox Tomb Raider is the first instalment of Tomb Raider series, and is the introduction to Lara Croft. It was released for Ms-DOS in 1996, during the twilight of the Dos era, and is a 3D platformer and action game.

The original game was later remade into Tomb Raider: Anniversary, with adjustments to both the plot and gameplay.

Dosbox compatability

The game functions in Dosbox as long as you remember the following:

  • You need to mount the CD manually, as described on DOSBox.
  • You must unplug certain joysticks. For example, the XBox 360 controller will cause the menu to enter an infinite spin.
