Okay, so if anyone is still interested in this game and wanted to get it working in widescreen resolution or to change FOV, then I decided to give you a bit of info on how to do it. It is very easy if you do exactly as I say here.

So, if you have a widescreen monitor, because some people still like to play on square monitors, then do this:

1. Press Windows button and R together on your keyboard and in the window type regedit. It will open a registry edit window. 2. Now, in this window follow the next path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Activision\X-Men The Official Game\Profile. 3. After that, in the right side you should see some REG_DWORD files that you have to edit. You only need to edit files "height" and "width". And you should know the resolution that you set by looking at the end of the value of those files. For example, at the end of "height" it says 0x00000258 and (600) in my case is the height of your resolution. Same with the "width". 4. To edit the value of "height" and "width" just click on one of them by right mouse button and chose "edit" and then set the value that you want and that's it. You are done with the resolution.

How to change FOV:

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to make a backup copy of the original file before doing anything! Just in case if you mess things up so you can return everything back as it was via replacing your edited file with your backup copy.

1. Go to your "X-Men The Official Game" folder, then find and open "assets" folder and in there find "Tuning.xml" file. You need to open it with any text editor. I recommend using WordPad. 2. In opened file, click on "Find" and type "FOV" and press Enter or click on "Find" and it will find that FOV line. And there you will see it. 3. Now, edit values of not just one FOV but every FOV that you can find in there. There should be 21 FOV values in total. And that's it. Save your changes and see if it works in the game.
