Tails Noir is a singleplayer side view and scrolling adventure and RPG game in the Backbone series.

The game was released as Backbone, until it was renamed Tails Noir in August 2023.[2][3]

The game engine may allow for manual configuration of the game via its variables. See the Unreal Engine 4 page for more details.

Ultra-widescreen

Force any resolution through a config file[5]
  1. Launch the game once and apply any resolution.
  2. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  3. Open GameUserSettings.ini in a text editor.
  4. Modify the values of ResolutionSizeX and ResolutionSizeY to match the width and height of the desired resolution (e.g. ResolutionSizeX=2560).
  5. Save the changes.
Applying a different resolution in the game will require following the steps again.
Use the related PCGamingWiki community tool to remove dialogue and cutscenes pillarboxing.
