Disable "Fullscreen Effects" in the display options
|
- Disables all fullscreen effects, not recommended.
|
- In-game MSAA (labeled as Fullscreen Anti-Aliasing) will disable shadows.[4]
Better AA solutions[citation needed]
|
- Force MSAA via display drivers (make sure 'Behavior Flags' is set to 'None' via Nvidia Profile Inspector if using an Nvidia card).
- Use Nvidia's DSR or AMD's VSR to force a higher resolution and downsample it to the monitor (best used in conjunction with something like SMAA or MLAA, since Downsampling makes the image sharper, but doesn't get rid of edge-aliasing).

Fix Data Execution Prevention setting[7]
|
Ensure Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is set to the default (Windows programs and services only), or add tra.exe to the exception list.
If that doesn't work, try adding it as an exception in Windows Security's DEP settings:
- Head over to App & browser control
- Click Exploit protection settings
- Go to the Program settings tab
- Click Add program to customize, and then Choose exact file path
- Navigate to the install folder and select
tra.exe
- Scroll down to Data Execution Prevention (DEP), then check Override system settings and make sure it is turned Off underneath
- Apply and restart the game

Sound clicks and pops during gameplay
Use any option to set affinity of the game's process (tra.exe ) to one CPU thread[8]
|
- Options for controlling process CPU affinity vary from using Windows Task Manager to applications like Prio and System Explorer which allow you to save affinity values of a process between launches.
- Another option is to use setaffinity application to patch the game's executable with a CPU affinity mask. This will force the game to always run on the specified CPU thread without further need to set affinity manually or keep some application running in the background.
- Depending on your CPU this may negatively affect the game's performance since you are limiting it to run on one CPU thread.

Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in
~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/8000/
in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (8000) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
