Issues fixed

Mouse cursor restricted

The mouse cursor can not reach parts of the screen, making it impossible to access menu options in-game.[2]
Set Windowed Mode in the Configuration Tool
  1. Open the Library, Left Click Play for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
  2. In the popup, choose Launch Configuration Tool and Left Click Play.
  3. In the Basic Settings section, activate the Windowed checkbox.
  4. Make sure that the resolution in the Resolution drop down is set to the preferred resolution.
  5. Left Click Play and Save.

Game language does not change

Changing the game language does not work from Steam properties.[3]

  1. Open the Library, Left Click Play for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
  2. In the popup, choose Launch Configuration Tool and Left Click Play.
  3. In the Language section, choose a language from the drop down list.
  4. Left Click Play and Save.

  1. Download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

DirectX DLL missing error

An error pops up upon attempting to start the game stating that a DirectX DLL file is missing.[5]

XAudio_8.dll missing error

An error pops up upon attempting to start the game in 64-bit mode stating that the XAudio_8.dll file is missing.[5]
Download and run the game in 64-bit mode on a computer running Windows 8.1 or newer.
Run the game in 32-bit mode from the configuration utility.

Game freezes on Alt-Tab

The game will not be responsive when Alt-tabbing out of the game
