Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition is an enhanced release of the 2000 fantasy role-playing game Icewind Dale and its expansion packs Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster. The changes include a high-resolution support up to and including 4K Ultra HD, cross-platform multiplayer, 6 formerly cut quests, new items, playable half-orc race, class and kit combinations ported from Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, a "story mode" difficulty level, toggleable quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.

There is a known issue with some Creative sound cards and OpenAL resulting in sound loss.^{[citation needed]}

Edit baldur.lua
Go to the configuration file location and edit baldur.lua Search for the option Show AOE and switch it from 0 to 1. If you don't have that line, add the line SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','Show AOE','1')

Hidden gameplay options

Enables new settings in the game options, for example show the area of effect before casting a spell, show more detailed combat infos, etc. Full list of options here, file can be downloaded here. To install, unpack the full content to the game folder (where the Icewind.exe is) and run setup-HiddenGameplayOptions.exe there.
