4K Ultra HD

Use dgVoodoo 2[2]
Background is scaled from 1280x720, all 3D models are rendered at selected resolution.
  1. Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract the archive.
  2. Open the MS\x86 folder and copy the D3D9.dll file to the <path-to-game> folder.
  3. Run the dgVoodooCpl.exe file.
  4. Click Add and select <path-to-game>.
  5. Go to the DirectX tab.
  6. Select 3840x2160 Resolution from the list, other 16:9 resolutions can be used too. Non-16:9 aspect ratios will be stretched.
  7. Uncheck dgVoodoo Watermark, then click OK.
  8. Run the game.

Issues fixed

Steam overlay does not work, Steam does not count gameplay time

Disable launcher by replacing it with the actual game executable[3]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Rename or remove Launcher.exe.
  3. Rename MidnightHorror.exe in Launcher.exe.
  4. Game will run in 16:9 mode by default. To enable 4:3 mode use the -ignore cinema command line argument.
  5. Run the game.
