Halo: Spartan Assault is a singleplayer bird's-eye view shooter game in the Halo: Spartan and Halo series.

The PC version does not include the co-op mode added in the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions.[1]

Microtransactions were removed in the Operation Hydra update on August 29, 2013.[2]

Issues fixed

Game crashes after launching

Unplug controller before launch
  1. Disconnect your controller(s).
  2. Launch the game.
  3. Connect your controller(s).
  4. Go into settings and set the input method to controller.

Run the game at refresh rates higher then 120Hz.

Override refresh rate set by game
  1. Download 3Dmigoto.
  2. Copy the files in the x32 folder to <path-to-game>.
  3. Open d3dx.ini.
  4. Change ;refresh_rate=60 to the desired value, and remove the semicolon (e.g. refresh_rate=144).
  5. Change hunting=1 to ;hunting=1 by adding a semicolon.
  6. Save the changes and close the file.

Black screen after launching (Steam Version)

Download fixed files
  1. Uninstall the game, if already downloaded.
  2. Download Zip.
  3. Extract folder in zip to <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\.
  4. Reinstall the game.
  5. Launch the game.
