DLC and expansion packs

For the sake of simplicity, this section will mainly be based on the Steam release of the game. The names column will cover release seasons (with one important exception) and the notes column will have the pinball machines (tables) affiliated with each season.
All tables can be purchased separately from their seasons as "Table Packs" (either as individual tables or in pairs of two tables). (See the Tables section on the Wikipedia article for more info.)
All seasons and most tables are available in a pro variant, which provides access to additional features such as operator's menus, custom balls, etc. at a higher price than standard tables.
Steam release free-to-play with a full table included, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
All unowned tables can be played for free up to their lowest high score value, with one select table from an earlier season temporarily available for full standard play as a "Free Table of the Month" (with advertisements shown before each game).

Reduce flipper delay

Some users have experienced a significant delay in the flippers' response to button presses while playing The Pinball Arcade. The following solution may help.
Reduce delay in flipper response to button press (Nvidia users)[2]
  1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel.
  2. Add the game to your list of program settings (PinballArcade.exe for DirectX 9 or PinballArcade11.exe for DirectX 11).
  3. Set the maximum pre-rendered frames to 1.
  4. Click "Apply".
  5. If you want to fix the other Pinball Arcade executable as well, then repeat steps 2 through 4.
Reduce delay in flipper response to button press (AMD users)[2]
  1. Download, install, and run the RadeonPro utility.
  2. Add a profile for The Pinball Arcade (PinballArcade.exe for DirectX 9 or PinballArcade11.exe for DirectX 11).
  3. Under the Advanced panel, check the box next to "Flip Queue Size" and set the slider underneath it to 0 or 1.
  4. Right-click the executable's profile on the profiles list to the left and select "Apply now" from the context menu.
  5. If you want to fix the other Pinball Arcade executable as well, then repeat steps 2 through 4.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/238260/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (238260) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
