Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East is the second expansion pack for the 2006 turn-based strategy Heroes of Might and Magic V, featuring the Stronghold town, alternate upgrades for existing creatures, and new campaigns.

Unlike Hammers of Fate, it is standalone and does not require the base game to play. It also includes all Hammers of Fate content except the campaigns.

This expansion received a single official patch, featuring bug fixes and native widescreen support.

Modifications

Might & Magic: Heroes 5.5

Heroes 5.5 is an ambitious, massive Total Overhaul mod, calling itself an "unofficial expansion pack" that rebalances the game, changes the skill system, combines all 3 Campaigns and allows for playing the game at 64-bit which heavily improves stability. Furthermore, it fixes many bugs left in the first and second campaign while also improving and extending it.
