Jane's Longbow Gold screenshots

The screenshots you provided are great, but not perfect. Could you retake them, but without the cursor? You can hide it by moving it to the bottom-right corner of the screen.

I can try. I can't totally hide it in DOSBox for some reason, and I can't tab the mouse out of the game (Longbow is one of the games that requires a mouse is present) so I'll try to take a pic from the Windows version.

Some games are like that. In those cases, just hide the best you can and take the screenshot.

The editing guide I mentioned earlier also has a screenshot section if you need help taking high quality screenshots.

One last thing I should mention: if possible, try to provide a PNG version of the screenshots. Higher quality overall.

SpeedySPCFan (talkcontribs)

Alright, that can be done. Should I delete the old ones and put up the PNGs or keep the old ones?

ThatOneReaper (talkcontribs)

If the screenshots were using the same format, you would just update them (preserves the file history). Since they are not, just remove the old ones.

Just to point out that with low-res images (and especially picture as a simple as that menu), PNG is definitively a step above everything else and is usually able to retain compression ratios near (if not even better than) JPEG.

Plus, another advantge would be being able to save over and over again the image (for example, if you had to follow Garret tip below) without quality loss, which with subsequent savings could even affect jpeg 100%

SpeedySPCFan (talkcontribs)

Ah, alright. Bandicam has a save in PNG function so I'll do that and what Garret said. Thanks!

SpeedySPCFan (talkcontribs)

Done. How exactly do I delete images?

Mirh (talkcontribs)

I don't think normal users can.

Which would you like to be removed?

Anonymous (talkcontribs)

Only users with certain privileges are able to do this. I've gone ahead and removed the previously used jpg files.

I added you to the Trusted user group - this means that in the least, you can enjoy the complete lack of captchas!

I get around this by taking a screenshot twice (with the cursor on different sides of the screen) and then combining the halves to get an exact version without the cursor. This usually won't work for games with animated backgrounds, of course, but it's great for anything static.
