Description

dgVoodoo 2 is a graphics API wrapper. It takes any supported API and uses Direct3D 11 (GPU feature level 10.1) as the output.

As of v2.44, the following APIs are supported:

  • Glide (2.11, 2.45, 3.1, 3.1 Napalm)
  • DirectX
    • DirectDraw (1-7)
    • Direct3D (1-7)

Installation

Setup dgVoodoo 2
  1. Download dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Somewhere on the computer (ex. the Desktop), create a new folder called "dgVoodoo".
  3. Extract the contents of the download to the newly created folder.
  4. Run the dgVoodooSetup.exe file.

Usage

Use dgVoodoo 2
  1. Go to the dgVoodoo 2 installation folder.
  2. Open the required API subfolder.
    • DirectX (DirectDraw and Direct3D): MS folder.
    • Glide: Glide folder.
  3. Copy and paste the required .dll files into the same folder where the main game executable files are located (ex. <path-to-game>, <path-to-game>\bin)
    • It is recommended to backup the game's original DirectX or Glide .dll files beforehand (if there are any existing files).
    • DirectX
      • DirectDraw: DDraw.dll
      • Direct3D: D3DImm.dll
    • Glide
      • 2.11: Glide.dll
      • 2.45: Glide2x.dll
      • 3.1: Glide3x.dll
      • 3.1 Napalm: Glide3x.dll (located in the Napalm subfolder)
  4. Accept any overwrite dialogs (if there are any).
  5. Run the game.
