Video settings[edit]

Custom preset can be obtained via .ini tweak
There is a player created settings editor for editing the graphics options
Information Use GRP Settings Configurator to further adjust game graphics or edit GraphicSettings.ini manually.[2]
Graphics option Option Notes
Widescreen resolution Native
Multi-monitor Impossible Unplayable due to menus being partially offscreen.[3]
Ultra-widescreen Hackable You can change the resolution in the \Game\PDC-Live\GraphicSettings.ini file
Field of view (FOV) Hackable FOV can be hacked by turning the game to windowed mode, setting the horizontal resolution through the GraphicSettings.ini to something larger than your monitor, and then using SRWE to change the horizontal resolution back to native, but this sometimes results in unresponsive menus.
Windowed Native
Borderless fullscreen windowed Impossible Can use SRWE to remove the borders from windowed mode, but is not supported natively.
Anisotropic filtering (AF) Unknown
Anti-aliasing (AA) Unknown While there is an antialiasing option in the GraphicSettings.ini it does not seem to do much. Aliasing is still present in much of the game.
Vertical sync (Vsync) Native
High frame rate Hackable Use windowed mode with in-game Vsync enabled to bypass 60 FPS cap.

Input settings[edit]

Information You can further adjust game controls by editing KeyMappingsPC.ini. For example you can set if Aim, Run, Crouch and/or Prone have to be toggleable or not
Keyboard and mouse Native Notes
Remapping Native
Mouse acceleration Native There is slight negative mouse acceleration (dubbed "clamping" by the developers) on heavier guns, namely LMGs, but none other than that.
Mouse input in menus Native
Mouse Y-axis inversion Native
Controller support Native Supports the Xbox 360 controller natively, but buttons are not rebindable. Can use other controllers with third party utilities.
Full controller support Native
Controller remapping Impossible For native controller support, there are only a couple preset controller layouts as of patch 1.3.1
Controller Y-axis inversion Unknown

Issues unresolved[edit]

Launcher continuous to run in the background[edit]

Information The game's launcher may continue to run in the background after the launcher window has been closed.
Information The launcher can be closed from the Windows system tray (usually bottom right),[4] or by right-clicking the taskbar icon and selecting "Close Window" (Windows 7 or above).
Disadvantage This must be repeated every time the player quits the game.

Issues fixed[edit]

Installer crash[edit]

Fix Launcher manual download[5]

  1. Make sure you have .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed
  2. Manually download the launcher from here
  3. Run it

Uninstallation problems[edit]

Even when using the "uninstall" option from the launcher, an error message saying the pdc-live files are in use is sometimes present. Deleting the files won't work, sending them to the recycling bin won't work either. The following is not a recommended solution: By renaming the folders "Pdc-live" and "patches" in the GRO folder to something else, uninstallation from the launcher somehow works. The folders that were renamed are removed and GRO no longer appears in "Programs and Features".
