Figured out what was breaking one of my templates
Remember I showed you the thing on my <code> being transcluded? Actually it was because of the = sign - you can't transclude = unless you name all the sections (ie. {{Template:Example|1=}}

Oh yeah, I came across that in a few template I made... I always thought it was a glitch of some kind rather than a standard rule.
