Issues fixed[edit]

Crashing/unable to launch[edit]

Unplug controllers[2]

Unplug any controllers/gamepads or other peripherals.

Launch as admin[3]
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Right-click on PokerNight2.exe
  3. Click Run as administrator
Run in compatibility mode
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Right-click on PokerNight2.exe
  3. Click Properties and then the Compatibility tab.
  4. Tick Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select an operating system in the drop-down menu.
  5. Once selected, click Apply and then OK to close the window.
Different compatibility modes have worked for different users, it is recommended to try a variety of them.[4]
Download dinput8.dll[5]
  1. Install the latest DirectX End-User Runtimes.
  2. If problems persist, download dinput8.dll.
  3. Place the file in the installation folder.
Install VC++ 2010[6]
  1. Download this and install the VC++ package from Microsoft.
  2. Exit Steam and restart the client.

Missing "D3DX9_41.dll" error[edit]

Install the DirectX Updater[7]

Install the DirectX End-User Runtimes.

Issues unresolved[edit]

Not responding/crashing after "Click anywhere" screen[edit]

Users are reporting that the game is crashing/not responding after the "Click anywhere to continue" menu screen.[8] There is currently no known fix.
