Help please - can't play Neverwinter, it says my video drivers are outdated even though I already updated them? My laptop is very old and I fairly recently reformatted it (sometime in mid-late February), but I'm not sure that makes a difference. I have listed my computer specs further down. What happened was, I downloaded Neverwinter on Arc, but when I tried playing it a popup appeared:

"It has been detected that your computer configuration may not be able to run this application. Your computer appears to be using older drivers for your video card. This applicaiton may run poorly or not at all without updated drivers. Please update your drivers by visiting www.ati.com . In some cases, such as laptops, you may need to get the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer's site. Do you wish to run the application anyway?" It allows me to select "Yes, with lowered settings" and "Yes, with default settings". I have tried both of those to no avail. They lead to the same result; it shows the loading screens, but then the screen goes black and all I can see and move is the mouse and I can hear the music. Other than that, it's completely unresponsive. If I tab out, I can see a yellow exclamation mark on the toolbar next to the other things (volume control, Dell Touchpad, etc.) which disappears when I mouse over it.

The first time that happened, I recall a message saying something along the lines of "your video driver stopped responding but has recovered successfully". It doesn't seem to appear anymore so I can't check the exact wording, but my video driver still doesn't seem to work with Neverwinter. I have to use task manager to close Neverwinter directly, as it does not let me right-click the minimised window and close it that way.

My computer specs are - Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. System Model: Studio 1537. This is my display information, as that seems to be the root of the problem:

Device - Name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. Chip Type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x95C4) DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz) Approx. Total Memory: 1514 MB Current Display Mode: 1280 x 800 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor

I have done all of the windows updates, as well as downloading Dell System Detect which automatically tells me if I need a driver update. It has not notified me of any updates. I have also done plenty of google searches about this, didn't help.

I'm not really a computer wiz, hence why I am asking.

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. :) - Ruby

Edit: Installed new video drivers from Dell, still won't work. I now also get this error when I boot up: Could not load file or assembly "MOM.Implementation" or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

People suggested uninstalling ATI and reinstalling it, but the problem is I have a laptop. When I tried installing drivers from ATI I got a bluescreen and had to do a system restore, so that won't work. -Ruby

How I fixed this: An amd crimson update caused this with my friend radeon r9 390. I had to uninstall the latest driver and reinstall an older driver from the manufacturer's website, which solved the problem. -z
