OK, so here are few thoughts, on what would be important to point or update out on Divinity II page.

Important:

  • Add missing information about input settings.

Highly recommended:

  • An update of game's cover. (see below)

Others:

  • Even though, PC gaming wiki is mostly about PC versions - information about differences between Developer's Cut, Dragon Knight Saga and Ego Draconis could be very useful. I think everybody knows that Ego Draconis was extremely buggy (some of the bugs in it were game breaking) and it had some serious performance issues (were they ever patched?). I don't know much about Developer's Cut, but if it's an update from Dragon Knight Saga, then, a note that it includes enhanced and fixed content featured in (previously buggy) Ego Draconis, as well as additional storyline could be an important one. After all, copies of Ego Draconis can still be found in both retailers as well as in some online stores (GamersGate, Steam). Again, I know PCGamingWiki is more about PC versions of a game, but since many people visit it for information, an eye catching information to buy Developer's Cut (if it includes content from Ego Draconis) could be a good idea - it could save some people's money.

Ego Draconis is only the base game Dragon Knight Saga is the base game + the expansion

Director's cut includes a Dev Mode -

(From steampage) "Developer Mode: Play the original version, or experience the game like the designers did and fool around with console commands to your heart's content! Ever wanted to test some new skills on a hoard of a hundred goblins? Go for it! Ever wondered what it would be like to explore the game-world in the guise of a troll? Well there you go! Discover a whole range of spectacular developer commands and feel like a wizard at play!" So pretty much access to all console commands

Also includes all content from The Dragon Knight Saga, design documents, concept art, and behind-the-scenes videos with commentary.

Director's cut: Base Game + expansion + Dev mode + extras

Director's cut is the recommended version i think

Edit: also ican't seem to find the config files for this game.

Yes, but wasn't Ego Draconis campaign slightly remastered in Dragon Knight Saga (and as such in Director's Cut)?

Divinity II wiki says:

  • Flying fortress levels are completely different.
  • Most anti-dragon zones (the red auras) have been removed.
  • In a lot of places enemy placement has been modified, especially in the latter parts of the game (e.g. Oroboras fjords).
  • Loot balancing has been radically changed.
  • Difficulty spikes have been addressed.
  • Major graphical overhaul.
  • A variety of mechanic changes should make combat feel better (e.g. no homing missiles, level difference not that important anymore when dealing with enemies).
  • A whole bunch of usability changes.

I remember playing Ego Draconis and aside from problems with optimization and ridiculous difficulty (which was apparently slightly changed in Dragon Knight Saga, although I read there are still problems with it), I remember few conversations that went nowhere (literally - menu bugging out).

In an interview with TB, developer admits that they weren't proud with Ego Draconis and they were forced to rush it to market (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghsiPPJN3rE&t=50s). This would explain some of the problems, I faced playing Ego Draconis few years ago, as well as the fact, why Ego Draconis is still available on Steam, even though Director's Cut is in there as well.

Either way - I know, I'd like a note that would prevent me from buying an inferior version (which in this case would be Ego Draconis).
