I'm playing modded Crysis with all the tweaks listed on the PCGW page, but it suddenly crashes every 20ish minutes without warning, whether I'm using DevMode or not. I'm using the 64 bit improved executables as well as the Tactical Expansion mod, any idea on why this is happening?
Talk:Crysis
I'm strongly questioning the classification of Crysis as "Stealth" genre. Most of the game can not be played stealthily. Just because you can activate a cloak for 10 seconds, doesn't mean that it's a stealth game. Otherwise, we would have to classify all modern Call of Duty games as Stealth since they all feature some in their campaigns.
in the crysis tab on pcgamingwiki it says that high fps rates cause the collision bug this is true or not https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Crysis#Video
I can't say for certain, but the statement was added by user Joylock two years ago. I would assume there's a underlying reason why it was added in the first place, but only Joylock can say for sure.
The 64-bit copy of the game, which can be downloaded and merged into the Steam game folder (follow instructions) does not run. Instead it creates a black screen and then crashes and exits.
Any compatibility mode checked? Did you try running it also as admin? Did you try to run with parameter -dx9?
In the steam version and the 64-bit mod for it, the forward movement randomly stops working while moving around. It'll just plain stop moving forward while the button is pressed. This happens specifically while using a program called "Windowed Borderless" which can force the Windowed mode to run without a Window frame (so that you can use the monitor's native resolution with Windowed mode without cutting off the bottom of the screen. To fix it, re-enable Fullscreen mode (not Windowed/borderless), and relaunch the game.
Can someone upload this mod somewhere, please? The link in the PCGW article does not exist anymore. Thank you.

That's Trailer_Rating.sfd
inside Localized/Video/English (and possibly other languages?) folder.
Is this true? See this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Crysis-Games/Patching-Crysis-1-to-latest-update-through-Origin/m-p/1629303#M12648
"The patch version and file versions are mismatched.
Patch 1.1 = 1.1.1.5767
Patch 1.2 = 1.1.1.6115
Patch 1.21 = 1.1.1.6159"
Could be.
It's a 2007 game that still may have the old "installation format", where after download you basically have unpacked ISO of the original DVD.
I think the same happened for me with.. BF2 or BF2142.
According to this Crysis FMOD implementation supports EAX.. :\
So much mess..
