Stories: The Path of Destinies is a narrated multi-branching action adventure singleplayer game developed by Spearhead Games and released on GOG.com and Steam on April 12, 2016.

The original version did not support many resolutions and the first couple of updates released in April 2016 added additional resolution options for the game.[3][4] In June 2016 a third update was released that brought with it advanced graphics settings as well as improved graphics and various other fixes and options.[5]

In May 2018 the game had a free-to-keep weekend on Steam as a promotion for the upcoming and spiritual sequel title Omensight that saw the all-time peak player number on Steam increase by almost 30,000%[6] for a new all-time peak of 78,966 players.[7]

Following the release and subsequent support of Omensight, Spearhead Games eventually brought their attention back to Stories: The Path of Destinies in 2018 with a fourth update labeled Stories: The Path of Destinies Remastered that saw the game engine be updated to Unreal Engine 4.18 and fixes to multiple issues.

264 was the previous all-time peak before the free-to-keep weekend and unless my math fails me the new all-time peak of 78,966 comes at out as a 29,911% increase (78,966 / 264 * 100 = 29,911%).
