Widescreen resolution[edit]

Running a game in widescreen resolution[citation needed]
  1. Create a new file named autoexec.cfg in the <path-to-game>\BaseEF\ folder, add the following entries on separate lines, and be sure to leave "quotation marks" in place:
  2. r_customwidth "X", where X is width of your desired resolution (for example, for 1680x1050 resolution, replace X with 1680).
  3. r_customheight "Y", where Y is height of your desired resolution (for example, for 1680x1050 resolution, replace Y with 1050).
  4. r_mode "-1" to make the game use custom resolutions.
  5. Finally, change FOV using command cg_fov "X". 105 seems to be a good value for 16:9 resolutions.

Notes

Some elements of HUD and menus may be stretched.
FMV cutscenes may not play properly (audio is heard, but white/grey screen is displayed).

Input settings[edit]

Mouse acceleration[edit]

Both Mouse Acceleration and Mouse Smoothing are disabled by default. There is an option to enable Mouse Smoothing under "Game Options". Mouse Acceleration can be activated using console command cl_mouseAccel 1.
