Essential improvements

Fix stutters and slowdowns

Fixes performance issues and helps immensely with mantaining a consistent framerate.
Also improves load-times as a side-effect, among other positive ones.
  1. Download DXVK here.
  2. Extract the contents of the dxvk-*.tar.gz file with 7zip or WinRAR.
  3. Copy d3d9.dll from the x32 folder and paste it in the game's executable folder (<path-to-game>).

High frame rate

Use Split/Second 60 FPS Patch[7]
The patch requires you to remove DRM from your copy as it does not work with Steam DRM.
It will break some power plays and cause clipping problems with certain animations. Some of the ai cars will constantly crash into the world that you or the other ai trigger.
