Fix Skip intro videos

  1. Go to <path-to-game>\data\movies\
  2. Move, delete or rename the following files:
000_autodesk.bk2
000_obsidian.bk2
000_spds.bk2
000_ubisoft.bk2

Notes

Information Even after removing the files, the audio will still play during the shortened pre-menu state.
Information Do not alter 000_testload.bk2and 000_newday.bk2. Without 000_newday.bk2, the game will not save after a boss fight at the end of the first in-game day and won't proceed. 000_testload.bk2 is used for transitions into battles.

Widescreen resolution[edit]

Fix Enable additional aspect ratio support

  1. Open user.ini found in the configuration files location.
  2. Find the following settings:
    support_aspect_ratio_16_10 = false
    support_aspect_ratio_4_3 = false
    support_aspect_ratio_custom = false
  3. Change all of these to true
  4. Afterwards make sure the following settings match your monitor:
    full_screen_height =
    full_screen_hz =
    full_screen_width =

Information If any of the options are missing from the user.ini, copy them in.

Fix Use Flawless Widescreen

  1. Make sure the game resolution is set to your custom resolution
  2. Download Flawless Widescreen. In the program choose the game plugin.

Notes

Information You might need to Alt+Tab in and out of the game for the fix to be applied.
Information Due to the game being designed around 16:9, some HUD elements might be misplaced and graphics not meant to be seen might be visible.

Anti-aliasing (AA)[edit]

Fix Modify anti-aliasing settings

  1. Open user.ini found in the configuration files location.
  2. Change scaleform_edge_aa according to your liking. (Between 0 — ∞)

Notes

Information 1.0 is the default, 0 turns off anti-aliasing. Higher values cause blurring.

High frame rate[edit]

Information The vsync settings is also responsible for frame rate limiting.

Fix Manually disable vsync

  1. Open user.ini found in the configuration files location.
  2. Set vsync to 0.

Notes

Information You may experience issues with the game when playing with an unlocked frame rate. In such a case, force Vsync in the video drivers.

Information If controller is present game defaults to it, disables most keyboard buttons, changes mouse behaviour in menus and HUD will show 360 controller prompts. Simply unplug or disable controller if playing with keyboard and mouse.
