Issues unresolved[edit]

Infinite loading screen[edit]

Information A single save game reaches an infinite load screen at the same point each time.
Disadvantage Officially there is no solution to this problem, and the save game is lost.[4]
Information Verifying the game cache and a system restart may help alleviate the issue.[5]

Issues fixed[edit]

Controls unresponsive[edit]

Information Issue whereby the game stops responding to control inputs upon entering the hub menu.
Information This issue can be resolved by restarting the game.[6]

Remove aim assist[edit]

Fix Change "Snap to targets" option

  1. Go to Options -> Controls -> Gamepad options
  2. Set "Snap to targets" off to disable aim assist.
Information This also applies for keyboard + mouse users

Controller buttons glitch[edit]

Information The symbols displaying which button to press during gameplay and quick-time events flicker between keyboard and controller when using a gamepad.
Information Issue seems to begin if the player moves the mouse or uses the keyboard when the controller is plugged in.
Information A game restart is required to alleviate the problem.[7]

Game doesn't save rebound keys[edit]

Information Issue where the game pretends to accept a rebound key setup but the changes don't take effect.
Information Can be resolved by deleting the default game bindings, and then rebinding to the desired setup.[8]

Crash after title credits (AMD users)[edit]

Information Issue where AMD users who have installed the game on a drive other than C:// have the game crash to a black screen post title logos.[9]
Information This issue may be resolved by moving the game to the C:// drive.[10][11]

Black screen on launch - window keeps minimising[edit]

Information Upon launch, the screen goes black for a few seconds, the game window minimises, and cannot be maximised.

Fix Launch in 640x480[12]

  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Right click on SaintsRowIV.exe and select 'Properties'.
  3. Select the 'Compatibility' tab and then check 'Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution'.
  4. Apply the settings and then launch the game.
  5. Once the game has loaded, go video settings and set your desired resolution.
Information Note: Widescreen users will first have to select 'Widescreen' for their resolution to appear.

Low frame rate (AMD users)[edit]

Information Issue where a low frame rate is experienced (especially in the open world), even on a high end AMD machine.
Information May be resolved by installing the new AMD beta driver, which reports a performance increase of up to 25%.[13]

Frame rate locked at 30 FPS after beating the game[edit]

Information After the credits the game will be locked to a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
Information Simply exiting the program and relaunching it will resolve this issue.
