Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PLAYLOGIC\Obscure2\Release. Edit the entry VideoResolution and change the value to one of from a list below (hexadecimal): 7800438 - 1920x1080 F000870 - 3840x2160

Widescreen workaround fix

Create a custom resolution 1920 x 1440 in your GPU control panel. Change scaling from aspect ratio to full-screen. Run game, select 1920 x 1440 video resolution and apply.

Windowed

Set with D3D8 Wrapper[citation needed]
Download D3D8 Wrapper. Extract to <path-to-game>. Edit d3d8.ini. Set ForceWindowedMode to 1.

Set with DxWrapper
Download DxWrapper. Extract from the zip file to <path-to-game>: d3d9.dll from Stub zip folder. dxwrapper.dll and dxwrapper.ini from the root zip folder. Edit dxwrapper.ini: Set EnableD3d9Wrapper to 1. Set EnableWindowMode to 1. Works with the Steam version.

Controller support

In the retail version, XInput controllers have issues using both triggers simultaneously, and with the right stick being unrecognized.

Fix button assignment[citation needed]
Download and run XInput Plus. Set the Target Program to OBSCURE2.exe. Go to DirectInput and check Enable DirectInput Output. Click on Customize and change the following: Assign Right Stick-X to Slider1 Assign Right Stick-Y to Slider2 Assign Left Trigger to Button11 Assign Right Trigger to Button12 Click Apply, this will install DLL files in the installation folder.
