Adjust global illumination[5]
  1. Install the latest version of FAR (automated installer).

  3. Expand the NieR: Automata section.
  4. Adjust the Global Illumination Quality value to your liking.
  5. Close the control panel to allow the changes to take effect.

Notes

Setting Global Illumination Quality to Off significantly affects lighting in some scenes.[6]
Adjust bloom resolution[7]
  1. Install the latest version of FAR (automated installer).
  2. While running the game, press Ctrl+ Shift+← Backspace to bring up the FAR control panel.
  3. Expand the NieR: Automata section and the subsection called Bloom
  4. Enable Custom Resolution and tweak it to your liking.
  5. Restart the game to allow the changes to take effect.

Notes

When you enable Custom Resolution it will automatically be set to the width of your display. You're free to use anything you want as long as it is your display width divided by some power of two (e.g. 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8).[8]
Don't set a custom resolution above the screen resolution of the game as the effect will be diminished.[9]
