Issues unresolved

Game randomly goes into demo mode even though you bought the game

The only solution of sorts to this issue is to relaunch the game and hope that it goes away.[9]

Issues fixed

Game crashes upon launch

.xml tweak[10]
  1. If you're not using a Nvidia GPU, skip to step 2. Open the Nvidia Control Panel, then in the Program Settings, select MagicalDropV.exe. Then disable anything related to anti-aliasing.
  2. Go to the installation folder.
  3. Open config.xml in your text editor of choice.
  4. Change <FullScreenWidth>1920</FullScreenWidth> to <FullScreenWidth>640</FullScreenWidth>, and <FullScreenHeight>1080</FullScreenHeight> to <FullScreenHeight>480</FullScreenHeight>, respectively.
  5. Launch the game.
  6. If successful, go to the game's settings menu and change the resolution to your desired resolution.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths).
