Key points

The PC version lacks certain features or content originally present in the console version, due to a difference in engine and developer.
The GameSpy online server browser stopped working on June 30, 2014 due to GameSpy services being shut down. However, updating to the latest unofficial patch will keep the server browser working after this date.[1]
