like the titile says i see when ever i make a page or something you edit it or somethign i am sorry you have to do that i am here to say thank you for doing that and sorry if i been annoying ina ny way of how many pages and stuff u have to fix of mine.
My apologies for a poor edit on the SR:TT page. I want to ask a question, what does "CTG" mean? Maybe a category page could be made for games using custom engines or something like that?
The upgrade seems to have introduced a new problem. When an existing file is updated the new thumbnail sometimes fails to generate immediately--the file is totally missing (404 not found) rather than showing an error message on the wiki page itself. Reverting back and forth does force it to generate successfully. See File:Z (2012) settings.png.
Yeah, I'm aware. It doesn't work in some circumstances only (both columns for GPU).
It's not the recent changes though, as I haven't touched that area in ages, so it might have never worked. I tried to fix it, but I think the edit log pretty accurately describes what happened to that. I will fix it, as the current mess in that template is fully my responsibility.
I'll try to get to it next week, as I am away this weekend. No promises though, as this isn't really a high-priority, and I am extremely busy with a lot of other things.
Here's the general guideline for the Emulation pages based on the pages I created/updated today. You can see more at.
If there are emulators for it (e.g. NES, SNES, PlayStation 2):

Question regarding removal of "Microsoft Corporation" as publisher of Monster Truck Madness
I noticed in your 01:54, 30 December 2013 update to Monster Truck Madness that Microsoft Corporation was removed as the publisher and replaced with Microsoft Studios. I also noted Microsoft Studios is also listed as the publisher for games which pre-date the division's establishment by their parent company, Microsoft Corporation, in 2002. In light of the above, I'm curious as to why it was changed.
Your implementation doesn't allow some useful combinations (Q4 2013, TBA 2014, etc.); have you considered a more flexible format using custom input instead of switches, e.g. {{date|2012|January 14|Windows}}, similar to Wikipedia:Template:Video game release?
I wasn't exactly done with the template ;)
However, such a thing would pass, as year is parsed without any processing - {{date|Q4 2013|4=Windows}} works completely fine - only a specific format is used for the month, to make it possible to easy switch the order of the date, if at any point we'd decide to switch to whatever other format.
I realize you won't be able to respond to this for a few days, but I figured I may forget by then. I've been updating system requirements tables recently and while Shader Model, DirectX, and OpenGL all have their own variables, Pixel Shader lacks one. This isn't too commonly a problem, but it happens enough that I would appreciate minPS and recPS variables. Perhaps it exists and I missed it, but as far as I can tell there's no implementation of anything like it currently.
yes, they exist
it's called minSM and recSM
system requirements template
pixel shader along with vertex shader and geometry shader form the shader model
as you can see with x verision of a shader model you have x version of the respective pixel shader
Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Team Fortress 2 release dates
On their respective pages, they have the correct dates, but on the Valve Developer Page, it lists their OS X release date despite the Windows version coming out before it. Any idea why this is happening?
Sorry it took so long to reply, I was waiting till I really needed to ask a favour. Is there any way to block Unregistered people creating pages but still being able to edit them. Please reply on the Prison Architect wiki for now since I'm not set up over here fully yet. Also is there anyway to interwiki links? Thanks in advance.
For instance, on the MCwiki, they used this like to link to wikipedia Mycelium. Is there an equivalent to link to pages on the prison architect wiki and another to link hereto this wiki?
Ultra-widescreen and 4K Ultra HD support in Development:Video settings
I've updated Development:Video settings with support for ultra-widescreen and 4K Ultra HD since WSGF has now been updated to show these as big medals.
Thanks for telling me. I can update Template:WSGF (I want to make an addition similar to what I did in Template:Tickcross) if you point me to where medal descriptions can be found.
Also, we're still on the old icons! This very much needs updating.
I originally copied the medal descriptions from the alt text on WSGF but Andytizer later simplified the wording to its current state. WSGF uses the same sort of descriptions for the new medal types (e.g. Company of Heroes 2) so the existing PCGW descriptions could be adapted in a similar way.
I'll sort out updating the medals. The PCGW medal variants (limited, unsupported, incomplete) don't show enough of the original medal to make a difference so I'm planning to move them to general names so each covers all four screen types (this won't affect template functionality).
Surely we could use the new medals, if they were adjusted slightly (to emphasize the MM/WS in the middle). Although I understand this is not as high a concern for us as it is on the WSGF, since we have them next to rows.
Anyway, cheers, please tell me once you've done that, so I can add the SMW stuff to it as well.
I was only meaning the merging of the Limited, Unsupported and Incomplete medals, which are now File:WSGF Incomplete.png, File:WSGF Limited.png and File:WSGF Unsupported.png. There was no visual difference for these before so I think it would make sense to use the same images for all four screen types (while keeping the template parameters separate as always).
I have updated the other medals and added File:WSGF UW Gold.png, File:WSGF UW Silver.png, File:WSGF 4K Gold.png and File:WSGF 4K Silver.png. Graphic design isn't one of my skills so these are just resized like before.
I'm guessing full controller support means the game recognises all inputs on a modern controller but I'm not sure how clear that would be for readers.
There should probably be an Invert Y-axis setting since some players still want that.
DirectInput support is another feature possibility instead of putting that information in the notes (maybe worded "DirectInput legacy controllers" or something to make it clearer that this is older-style controllers) with hackable used to indicate that it works with x360ce or whatever.
EDIT: Oh and the check for displaying additional controller features should look for both hackable and true since some games have controller support fully implemented but disabled by default (e.g. Two Worlds).
I'm also interested in putting in touchscreen controls as an option. This is becoming more relevant with Windows 8 and more powerful Windows tablets. I'd like to be able to build a list of touchscreen compatible games, e.g. Civ 5.
As far as I know Minecraft has limited touch screen support involving the inventory system, just wanted to note that.
The feature name would have to be something vague since there are also games that are inherently touch-ready without enabling a specific touch mode (e.g. Two Worlds II Castle Defense shares its interface with the iPad version).
The full controller support meant the keyboard not being necessary at any point when going from the menu into the game. I'll make sure that it accepts either hackable or true for showing the additional stuff later.
Would something like 'Touchscreen optimized interface' be fine? I'm not sure just how much more relevant it's becoming to be honest, as the sales of the tablets aren't huge and a rather small overlap between the owners and people who play, but definitely worthy of inclusion.
Axes inversion a point to remember, I'll be adding that as well.
I can't comment on DirectInput or any of those funky solutions for controllers, I'm too used of everything working out of the box on Linux to ever have to worry about such things :) But if it's an important point on Windows, it should be added (although preferably not by me, since I haven't got too much experience with this).
To ensure every row's contents are clear, maybe we should add tooltips for the rows. It would allow adding a much longer explanation this way if needed.
So, just to get a list of things that could be interesting:
- Touchscreen support/Touchscreen optimized
- Full mouse control (menus are not limited to a keyboard)
- Full controller support (one can always use a controller for everything)
- Remappable controller buttons
- Axes inversion (is X-axis inversion even done? Should it be just Y-axis inversion?)
Should any other things be added there? Should any of those not be added there? Also, some help with wording generally would be appreciated, so this can be pushed out soon.
I had another idea, but seems I forgot it. I'll try to make a note of it somewhere next time.
While you've said not to change it, the WSGF says in their report that it's native, optimized, and gave it a gold badge. Are you sure we shouldn't input it as true?
Basing it off the Wikipedia article is a good idea. Have the sections for each type of bundle and then subsections for each bundle specifically. That way we have a separate table for each bundle.
I'd also recommend adding a "Bundle Table Template" to the Discussion page.
Thoughts?
I plan to flesh out some possible designs for this soon, but I'm away Thursday-Sunday, so I won't get that done too soon. I'm sort of for and against the splitting into sections according to bundle types, since on one hand it's nicely grouped, but then again you lose how it progressed chronologically.
A template might be a nice thing to do.
If you have any ideas for improving the tables or general design, put them in your sandbox or write them down here and I'll try to do some stuff later as well. Again though, I'm not available until 25/3.
After thinking about it for a bit it makes more sense to put it in order of release (games, that is), so maybe we should just have sections describing each bundle (Humble Indie Bundle, Humble Android Bundle, Developer-Specific Bundles) and then a list of all the bundles in the order of their release.
The new order would look like this:
Humble Indie Bundles
- Description
- List
Humble Bundles with Android
- Description
- List
Developer-Specific Bundles
- Description
- List
Bundle List
- Main Bundles
- Humble Indie Bundle 1
- Humble Indie Bundle 2
- Humble Frozenbyte Bundle
- etc.
- Weekly Sales
- Week 1
- Week 2
- Music Bundles
- Humble Music Bundle 1
- Book Bundles
- Humble eBook Bundle 1
Sorry I didn't reply then. I had no time at that point. The page looks nice, but I think we should avoid encyclopedic articles, which means the description would serve little purpose. I'll try to put an hour into it as soon as I catch up with everything else and prepare a new table style, and then we can migrate the page to the new format.
I won't be able to do much as I only have a table to work from and won't be able to login often. Feel free to do what you like with the page, but I've got it all prepared in my sandbox.
I've got this this going, what do you think of the new table layout? I'll make a new one for weeklies and probably the same thing can be used for the non-PC bundles.
