{{ii}} [https://www.moddb.com/games/two-worlds/downloads/two-worlds-control-panel Two Worlds Control Panel] can be used to make various tweaks and improvements, including enabling high-detail shadows and XInput controller support (see [[#Controller support|Controller support]]). It can also install/uninstall mods using its integrated mod manager.
Website is down and the Control Panel can't load anything from the server. But all the game tweaking and customizing stuff should work as usual.

When Two Worlds is installed on Windows Vista and later a registry setting is set that prevents it from showing the window for separate character profiles. Fixing this setting re-enables this window, allowing you to keep saves for multiple characters conveniently separated.

Essential improvements

Patches

The latest retail patch is Patch 1.7b, which fixes various issues and adds new co-op quests. Digital distribution versions already include this patch.

Two Worlds Control Panel

Two Worlds Control Panel can be used to make various tweaks and improvements, including enabling high-detail shadows and XInput controller support (see Controller support). It can also install/uninstall mods using its integrated mod manager.

Skip intro videos

Toggle intro videos with Two Worlds Control Panel (recommended)[citation needed]
  1. Install and run Two Worlds Control Panel.
  2. Go to Tweaks, then click Disable Intros.
Toggle intro videos in the registry[citation needed]
  1. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Reality Pump\TwoWorlds\Interface
  2. Change ShowIntro from 1 to 0.

Multiple character profiles

Re-enable support for multiple character profiles (Windows Vista and later)[2]

When Two Worlds is installed on Windows Vista and later a registry setting is set that prevents it from showing the window for separate character profiles. Fixing this setting re-enables this window, allowing you to keep saves for multiple characters conveniently separated.

  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Reality Pump\TwoWorlds\FileSystem
  2. Open EnableGamesForWindows
  3. Change the value from 1 to 0
  4. Click OK.
  5. Move your existing saves (if any) to the new location; see save game data location.

Note: <path-to-game>\Parameters\AutoexecGame.con should be created manually. It supports various tweaks, such as engine settings and etc.
