It appears that this page has exactly what I need to define my Saitek P2500 gamepad to Vessel and finally be able to control nozzles, suction, and the direction I'm aiming. However, after reading this article from end to end multiple times and trying every possible interpretation, I still can't get anything to work. This page is missing information that a complete novice, like myself, needs to get this working. Can someone that knows what's going on please expand this?

Where is the VesselGamepad.ini file? Is this file supposed to work directly with Vessel or does it work with another key mapping program? If not Vessel, then what mapping program? If I could just put a file out there somewhere and get the gamepad to act any differently at all, I think I could solve this problem, but this is maddening! Please help!!!!

Your operating system (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, etc...) should have some manner of "find" feature you can use to locate the VesselGamepad.ini file on your system. Depending on your OS, it may be located in a hidden folder. This file controls the controller input (a key-mapping program is not required).

Admittedly, some measure of competence is required to properly perform such configurations, and this page (site) is not necessarily very "user-friendly" in regards to a complete novice. Perhaps you can enlist the aid of a friend or family member who is more capable in this regard?
