I'm not sure why this is happening, but some background first. During a Steam sale a few weeks ago, I bought Saints Row 2, and installed it, only to find it crashes as soon as I launch the game. I naturally tried reinstalling and running in compatibility mode, to no avail. I have contacted THQ and will post something on the wiki page if they respond.

Does anyone else have this problem or similar ones?

Can't say I have, but let's run through the usual troubleshooting steps:

Did you try running it as an administrator? Did you try verifying the game cache? Are your drivers up to date? Does it do this on any other games?
