Shouldn't minDX be separate?

Currently it just adds to the GPU requirements, but games tend to have different DX requirements for audio, GPU, and a general DX requirement (which is sometimes lower than the hardware reqs).

The DX setup is fine as is.

Honestly, having multiple DX versions for each section would only serve to clutter the template. It's also the sort of detail that almost no one would find helpful or relevant. In most cases, the minimum DX version provided is what every section of the game would also use.

Ultimately, it would be a useless addition.

So if it has a DX audio requirement but no video requirement we should still use the minDX param? Thanks!

DX audio requirement? Last time DX audio was updated was back in directx 9...
On the other hand what usually matters is direct3D version requirement

I've seen 9.0, 9.0c, and 11 for the DX audio requirement. IIRC 11 was for the XAudio 2 API that replaced DirectSound.

Mirh (talkcontribs)

XAudio 2 though isn't DX.

And the situation with versions is a bit different.
And 2.7 runs everywhere, so unless some game is only for W8 or W10, I don't think there is a sense in this

Usually games requiring DirectX compatible sound card are really old or some indie titles which seem to not know what to write in that part and simply state you need modern sound card.

I have been doing |minaudio = DirextX compatible if games system requirements actually state that. Also audio requirement is usually most varying one, sometimes there's something technical and other times it simply states something obvious like stereo sound.

Thanks for giving the examples. I've fixed the problem, it should be sorted now.

System Requirements -> System requirements

The name of the templae in documentation should be changed to lowercase (R->r), as if it's posted like that, the template won't work
