Modifications

Editing INI Files And Terms Of Service

The terms of service forbids the modification of the ini files (amongst other things) and can result in the suspension of one's game account.[1] However, a community manager has stated that "for the sake of clarification, you won't get banned for changing a line in a .ini file".[2]

  1. File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/212740/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (212740) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
