Essential improvements
Patches
- Patch 1.1 (mirror) - official patch for a game.
- Patch Project 1.25 (mirror) - fan patch. It's required to run a game on Windows Vista and 7.
Modifications
- Fleet Operations - it's a total conversion mod. The first goal is to enhance the gameplay (content and new and more interesting features) and performance (bug fixes to glitches dating back to Armada 1, updated DirectX support, new sound engine, improved resource usage etc.). The second purpose is to enhance and extend the moddability of the engine and to make customization easier for all modders. The third aim, with the introduction of the Modification Manager, is to ensure that gamers who want to play Armada II (as a “mod”) using the Fleet Operations enhanced engine can do so without the numerous glitches and exploits of the original.
