Essential improvements
Community Edition
It's a special "install & play" version of the game made by fans, functional on modern machines and Windows, including widescreen resolutions, adding new features and fixing some bugs. Available for download (version 6.1) here.
If you suffer low FPS, put "gl_dynamic 0" in console (key below escape), (or in "autoexec.cfg" in "game directory\base\" to permanently save this command).
SoFplus
SoFplus is a fan mod for Soldier of Fortune 1.07f, which adds multiple new features and solves problems with modern systems. You can find it, here.
