Rugrats Adventure Game guide on StrategyWiki

Key points

There is some disagreement on the web over when the game was released. The date given is from the linked StrategyWiki page, and it is also the release date given on Metacritic.[1] Three different sites (Giant Bomb,[2] MobyGames,[3] and IMDb[4]) all give a release date of the 24th day of some month in 1998 (April on Giant Bomb,[2] August on MobyGames,[3] and October on IMDb[4]).
Game cannot run on any Windows operating system from Windows XP onwards. Virtualization of Windows 95, 98 or ME required.

Note that some of the interface, as well as the babies' dialogue, has deliberately poor grammar (like "Stuff we gots so far") to match the style of the show.

Issues unresolved

Game cannot run on Windows XP

Although the game installs on Windows XP, it cannot run on it. Without Windows Compatibility Mode, the game will crash on launch. With the proper settings (such as setting to Windows 95 mode and enabling "Run in 256 colors"), the game will launch, but it not detect QuickTime 3.0 installed (whether or not it is installed) and will automatically quit after an error prompt.
