Game locks up with a black screen
If you have any of the video software by Freemake installed, try uninstalling them. That might fix it.[1]
Steam always asks to install C++ redistributable
Rename the following file in your Steam Renegade Ops folder:
installscript.vdf to installscript2.vdf[1]
